The charity KVN (Club of the Funny and Inventive) evening "SK Azil Fest" was held for employees of Samruk-Kazyna group of companies.

At the competition, Samruk-Energy was represented by the team "Toki v Shoke" (Almaty Power Plants). The team delighted the audience with their original jokes and showcased a high level of performance.

As a result of the performance by the teams from the Fund’s portfolio companies, APP electrician Asset Gubashev was honored with the 'SK Azıl Fest Special' award".

The evening not only brought joy to the audience but also contributed to charity. All funds raised will be directed towards the establishment of inclusive classrooms at schools.

 

"Samruk-Energy" JSC has been awarded the silver prize in the "Grand Prix" category for "Best Annual Report of a Non-Public Company" at the 27th Annual Report Competition organized by the Moscow Exchange.

Over 100 of the largest companies from various sectors of the economy participated in this prestigious competition. An expert panel comprising representatives from industry professionals, government authorities, and independent experts evaluated the reports based on criteria such as strategic management, company achievements, and stakeholder engagement.

The annual report of "Samruk-Energy" JSC received high praise for the quality and comprehensiveness of its information disclosure, innovative data presentation techniques, and outstanding design. The accolade in the "Grand Prix" category reaffirms the company’s leadership in corporate governance and its commitment to maintaining high standards of transparency and openness, as well as adhering to contemporary reporting requirements.

Samruk-Energy is launching a project to build a new combined heat and power plant (CHP) in Semey city, aimed at enhancing power and heat supply for the region's residents. During a business trip to Abay region, CEO Kairat Maxutov met with Abay region governor Nurlan Urankhaev and local government officials to discuss the project’s essential aspects.

At the meeting, the project site was confirmed, and the parties discussed the next steps, including the preparation of project documentation, provision of baseline data, and development of technical specifications. They also reviewed land allocation for necessary infrastructure components, such as ash disposal and water intake facilities, as well as the construction of external infrastructure to integrate the CHP into the regional energy system.

The new plant will feature state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly technology, ensuring high energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined coordinated actions to expedite the project’s progress. Regional leaders expressed full commitment to providing comprehensive support to ensure the success of this initiative, which will create new jobs and contribute significantly to Abay region's social and economic development.

 

A delegation from “Samruk-Energy” JSC, led by Chairman of the Management Board Kairat Maxutov, held a productive meeting with the Governor of the East Kazakhstan region and representatives from local executive bodies as part of their business trip to the area.

The meeting focused on advancing the "Construction of a CHP in Ust-Kamenogorsk" project, with a construction site now identified. Discussions covered land allocation for essential infrastructure, including ash disposal and water intake facilities, as well as planning, design, and preliminary data gathering. Additionally, the development of external infrastructure to support the CHP was addressed.

Samruk-Energy provided updates on other regional investment projects: Phase II construction of the Shulbinsk Hydropower Plant and the modernization of 4th hydroelectric unit at the Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP. 

Following the meeting, both parties established a joint action plan, with specific instructions issued by the region’s government to local executive authorities to provide all necessary support for projects implementation.
