As part of his business trip to Almaty, Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, held a meeting with the executives team of Almaty Power Plants JSC and key production departments. The agenda covered the company’s financial and operational performance over the first five months of the year, as well as the status of the maintenance campaign in preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
Following the meeting, Maxutov issued a number of instructions to ensure the timely and high-quality execution of repair works and to guarantee full operational readiness for the heating season.
After the meeting, the head of Samruk-Energy visited the construction site of the new combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) unit at Almaty CHP-2, where installation of the first gas turbine package is currently underway.
The modernization project at Almaty CHP-2, which focuses on minimizing environmental impact, is being implemented in line with the directives of the Head of State.
