According to research conducted by Samruk Research Services (SRS), the social stability index across Samruk-Energy group of companies reached 77% in 2025, representing an 8% increase compared to 2024.

The final SRS index is calculated based on three components:

  • engagement index;
  • social well-being index;
  • social calmness index.

This result reflects a positive trend in labor and social relations within the Company’s group. The increase in the index confirms the effectiveness of measures implemented and the Company’s consistent efforts to enhance social policies and corporate culture.

 

Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, Kairat Maxutov, held a meeting with the Mayor of Turkestan region, Nuralkhan Kusherov. The meeting focused on key issues and the current status of the 300 MW solar power plant project in Sauran district of Turkestan region.

The project is being implemented under the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China on the Implementation of Renewable Energy Projects, signed in November 2024 on the sidelines of COP29.

The parties discussed progress on the preparation and signing of the EPC contract, which is expected to be finalized by the end of the current year, as well as the ongoing preparatory work at the site.

The strategic importance of the project for the region was noted, including its contribution to increasing the share of renewable energy, creating new jobs, and attracting foreign direct investment.

 

Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC Kairat Maxutov visited Ekibastuz, where he met with the city mayor, Ayan Beysekin. The sides discussed the progress of the current heating season and Samruk-Energy’s contribution to the city’s social initiatives.

The Chairman then visited the company’s energy assets located in Pavlodar region. During the meeting with the management of Bogatyr Komir LLP, Maxutov instructed the company to ensure stable and reliable coal supplies to power plants across the country. The company presented its comprehensive development program aimed at increasing production capacity in line with the commissioning of new generation facilities.

At Ekibastuz SDPP-2, the Chairman reviewed the progress of the construction of Power Unit No. 3 and received updates from contractors on the status of construction and installation works.

The final stop was the Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after B. Nurzhanov, where Maxutov held a meeting. The plant’s management reported on the completion of the repair program, ongoing routine and major repairs, as well as investment projects involving the reconstruction and modernization of the fuel supply system and the construction of a new chimney.

 

The event is being held in Uralsk city. The theme of the forum is Skilled trades – a driver of economic growth”.

At the exhibition area, Samruk-Energy showcased models of Ekibastuz SDPP-2 and a wind turbine, as well as work tools, “smart helmets,” and other personal protective equipment (PPE) used at power plants. The company’s stand has attracted particular interest from school and college students. Samruk-Energy representatives introduced them to the activities of the holding’s enterprises and explained the most in-demand skilled professions in the energy sector.

The forum brings together representatives of government bodies, businesses, and educational and scientific institutions from both countries. The event is aimed at strengthening business ties, developing the industrial and energy potential of the regions, and promoting modern workforce training technologies.

The forum serves as a traditional platform for exchanging experience, presenting joint initiatives, and discussing promising directions for interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
