On the 10th of November 2023, the city of Astana witnessed the commencement of the V International Forum on Energy Efficiency, organized by "Institute for the development of power sector and energy conservatioin" with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This event, dedicated to Energy Efficiency Day, gathered prominent experts, business delegates, and governmental authorities. The primary purpose was to facilitate a meaningful exchange of perspectives and foster collaborative relationships within the realms of energy conservation and the enhancement of energy efficiency.

The primary objective of the forum is to promote a culture of energy efficiency among the population of Kazakhstan. The event also addresses issues related to attracting investments and innovations in the field of energy conservation, contributing to the development of new and effective solutions. The forum aims to facilitate the development of international cooperation and create a platform for the exchange of experiences and the transfer of advanced technologies between Kazakhstani and foreign enterprises.

The forum program also included an award ceremony for contributions to the field of energy conservation, where Serik Tutebayev, an advisor to the Board of Directors of “AlES” JSC was honored with the badge “Energia unemdeu salasyna koskan ulesi ushin” (from kazakh "For the contribution made in the field of energy conservation").

Furthermore, as a part of Energy Conservation Day, competitions took place at enterprises of "Samruk-Energy" JSC to identify the best innovative proposals for energy conservation and enhancing energy efficiency.

The competition showcased a diverse range of proposals, highlighting the employees' exceptional professionalism and innovative thinking. These initiatives not only help in minimizing excess energy consumption but also promote a conscientious and responsible approach to environmental concerns.

Following a thorough evaluation of the proposals, winners have been selected in the category of "Best Innovative Proposal."

- Pavel Zaytsev from "Bogatyr Komir" LLP secured the first position, earning a prize of 200,000 tenge.

- Alisher Moldazhanov (PTD of CHP-1 "AlES" JSC) and Nurzhan Nayzabekov (PTD PRE “Energoremont” of "AlES" JSC) shared the second position, each receiving a prize of 150,000 tenge.

- The third position was claimed by Arshidin Kurbanov (PRE "EnergoRemont" of "AlES" JSC), Dmitry Martynenko (ETL electrical workshop of "ESDPP-2" JSC), and Denis Okhman (PTD of WHC of  "AlES" JSC), each earning a prize of 100,000 tenge.
