Samruk-Energy JSC’s Integrated Annual Report ranked first in the annual “Top 50 Companies for ESG Disclosure” ranking, prepared by PwC Kazakhstan based on an analysis of 2024 Annual Reports.
The PwC Kazakhstan ranking serves as an independent tool for assessing the transparency and quality of companies’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures in Kazakhstan. It reflects the maturity level of ESG reporting, aligns with modern international non-financial reporting standards, and acts as a benchmark for identifying best practices, improving disclosure quality, including the evaluation of ESG practices, sustainability management systems, and the integration of ESG aspects into corporate strategies.
According to the ranking, Samruk-Energy JSC was recognized as a leader not only overall but also in several key areas of ESG disclosure among 98 Kazakhstani companies:
- Best ESG disclosure in the energy sector
- Best environmental disclosure
- Best sustainability strategy disclosure
- Best social issues disclosure
