Samruk-Energy reports readiness for the 2025–2026 heating season at Samruk-Kazyna Public Council meeting

Samruk-Kazyna JSC held a meeting of its Public Council, chaired by Mr. Bolat Zhamishev, to review the group’s readiness for the upcoming heating season. The session was attended by the management of Samruk-Energy JSC and KEGOC JSC, Members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, industry experts, and public representatives.

Mr. Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, reported that maintenance and repair work across the company’s power plants are being carried out strictly in line with approved schedules, which has ensured the timely start of the current heating season. Fuel deliveries to power facilities are proceeding as planned.

As of today, coal reserves amount to 1.504 million tons, exceeding the target level of 791.5 thousand tons, while fuel oil reserves total 33.6 thousand tons against a standard of 23.6 thousand tons. The subsidiary Bogatyr Komir LLP continues to provide uninterrupted coal supplies to other power plants under its existing contracts.

Samruk-Energy continues to prioritize technical modernization, the reduction of equipment wear, and the minimization of environmental impact. In support of these goals, the company has been increasing investments in the maintenance and renewal of its production assets year over year.

In 2024, investments in capital and routine repairs rose by 64% compared to 2023, and a further 78% increase is planned for 2025. These efforts have already produced tangible results:

  • The plant availability factor has improved from 87.8% to 88.5%;
  • The equipment wear level has decreased from 62% to 59%;
  • The number of technical incidents has been reduced.

Overall, the company’s generation facilities are operating stably, maintaining a high level of reliability and technical readiness. Samruk-Energy stands fully prepared to ensure uninterrupted power and heat supply throughout the 2025–2026 heating season.
