Samruk-Energy signs offtake contracts worth KZT 24 billion since the beginning of 2025

Samruk-Energy JSC held a roundtable discussion dedicated to the development of domestic production and the support of local manufacturers. Askar Baltabayev, Managing Director for Procurement and Risks, shared the company’s results and plans to increase the share of local content in procurement.

In 2024, the company planned to conclude supply contracts for goods worth KZT 140.7 billion, with local content accounting for 62% or KZT 87.2 billion. In fact, the share reached 73%, equivalent to KZT 102.7 billion.

For 2025, it is projected that contracts for goods worth KZT 199.5 billion will be signed, with local content expected to account for 74%. It should be noted that the volume of goods with local content, in monetary terms, will increase by 44% compared to 2024. This demonstrates steady growth and the expanding involvement of domestic producers in the procurement system.

The company has also exceeded its plans for offtake contracts: in 2024, 41 contracts worth KZT 10.2 billion were signed. In 2025, 22 contracts worth KZT 24 billion have already been signed, which is 135% more than in 2024.

As part of the roundtable, an offtake contract was signed between Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov LLP and Ecotec Engineering LLP for the supply of membranes for a reverse osmosis plant in the amount of KZT 117.3 million. The event also included B2B meetings, where key issues of domestic manufacturers’ participation in procurement were discussed.

Samruk-Energy JSC continues to support domestic production and strengthen its partnerships with local suppliers.
