Samruk-Kazyna Trust career guidance project: 30 teenagers from orphanages choose vocational professions

Earlier this spring, Samruk Umiti project was launched to support 100 teenagers from orphanages in Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions. The program helps them choose vocational professions, enroll in colleges, and find future employment within Samruk-Kazyna JSC group of companies.

So far, 30 out of 40 ninth-grade graduates have decided to continue their education at local colleges in trades such as mechanic, electrician, IT specialist, metalworker, cook, welder, and others.

The project’s results were presented by Alfiya Adiyeva, General Director of Samruk-Kazyna Trust Corporate Fund, at the National Youth Forum chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Yermek Kosherbayev.

As part of the initiative, teenagers from orphanages take part in company site visits and meetings at production facilities. They also undergo career guidance testing, learn about the labor market and real job opportunities, and develop essential skills in financial and legal literacy as well as personal growth. Each participant is supported by both a mentor and a coordinator.
