As part of the visit to the People's Republic of China, the delegation from “Samruk-Energy” JSC, accompanied by representatives from the Association of Renewable Energy of Kazakhstan, attended the "China Wind Power 2023" International Exhibition.

"China Wind Power" is a significant and well-established event held at the National Exhibition Center in Beijing. The exhibition's theme revolved around energy, with a particular focus on alternative energy sources. This year, the exhibition saw participation from over 1,000 exhibitors representing 30 countries, with more than 100,000 attendees.

During the event, representatives of “Samruk-Energy” JSC, led by the company's Chairman of the Board, Kairat Maxutov, engaged in discussions with the management of the Chinese company SANY. As part of interstate engagements, SANY is planning to establish a wind generator production plant in Kazakhstan. Additionally, Kazakh power engineers visited the exhibit of the Chinese electrical engineering company TBEA, where they explored topics related to energy storage systems.

The potential for collaboration in the advancement of energy storage technology and the utilization of artificial intelligence in the energy sector were central subjects in a meeting between the management of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC and HUAWEI, one of the world's largest telecommunications companies.

Furthermore, representatives from “Samruk-Energy” JSC met with partners from companies within the Chinese corporation Power China. As one of China's largest industrial organizations, Power China specializes in designing and constructing energy and transportation facilities, encompassing hydroelectric power plants, thermal, wind, and solar power facilities, power grids, and substations.

In the course of this meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the execution of the project aiming to increase the capacity of a wind power plant in the Almaty region, expanding it from 60 MW to 810 MW. This project had been formalized through an Agreement signed the previous day during the visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the PRC.
