Ekibastuz SDPP-1 received a certificate of readiness for operation during the autumn-winter period. The relevant control and regulatory bodies confirmed the technical readiness of the plant to bear the specified load, including in conditions of peak negative temperatures in the autumn-winter period of 2019-2020.
"Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov” LLP, a subsidiary of Samruk-Energy power holding company, is one of the largest suppliers of electricity to the Kazakhstani market. The company demonstrated stable readiness indicators prior to the start of autumn and winter season. So, according to operating results from January to September of this year, the plant’s operating capacity was 1 892 MW and reached 3 028 MW with the simultaneous operation of six power units. Electricity generation over the past four months from June to September amounted to 6 448 bln. kWh, which is 3% more than the generation for the same period of last year.
As part of the 2019 repair campaign, ESDPP-1 repaired power unit No. 4, conducted a scheduled maintenance of power units No. 7 and 8, completed overhaul of power unit No. 5, and continues overhaul of power unit No. 3.
In general, all energy companies, which are part of “Samruk-Energy” JSC, have announced a complete technical readiness of the equipment by the start of autumn and winter period of 2019-2020.
In early October, in addition to Ekibastuz GRES-1, “Moynak HPP named after U. Kantayev ” JSC and “Ekibastuz SDPP-2 Plant” JSC obtained readiness certificates.
Moreover, RE facilities and electricity transmission organizations participate in preparations for the winter period. "First Wind Power Plant" JSC – received a certificate of readiness at the end of September. “Samruk-Green Energy” LLP, operating in the field of solar power, and “AZhC” JSC were assessed for readiness to autumn and winter season.
The heating season began in the southern capital on October 15 by the order of Almaty city Mayor’s Office. On September 6, power engineers of “APP” JSC and “Shardarinsk HPP” JSC received a document on their readiness for operation in conditions of winter loads. Thus, as of today, all energy companies that are members of “Samruk-Energy” JSC are fully ready for winter.
Certificate of readiness - the document issued every year that confirms the readiness of energy producing and energy transmission companies to operate in the autumn-winter conditions. The State Institution “Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control” of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ministry of Energy controls over the preparedness of energy facilities.
