The Council members were informed about the progress of Transformation Program in 2019.
The meeting of the Modernization Council (MC) was held at “Samruk-Energy” JSC. The issues of Transformation Program implementation at the energy holding company were addressed and a number of sponsors were appointed at the meeting.
Bakitzhan Zhulamanov, the Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Energy” JSC, presented candidates for the role of sponsors to the Members of Modernization Council for their approval. In this vein, Marat Uldanov, the acting Managing Director for Development and Sales, headed the projects on trade and sales, as well as for the implementation of a portfolio of business initiatives.
“Marat Uldanov was the project manager for trading throughout the year. The project achieves its own benefits and this year evolves into the company's operations ”, said Baktizan Zhulamanov.
The candidacy of Murat Amirkhanov, acting Managing Director for Risks and Legal Affairs of “Samruk-Energy” JSC, was reviewed for the role of a sponsor of projects on integrated security and risk introduction. Antonina Shenoeva, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board for Strategic Communications, was appointed a sponsor of the project on the new IT model introduction.
Bakitzhan Zhulamanov, the CEO of the energy holding company, suggested to the MC members his candidacy as a sponsor of the project on ensuring of information security: “Previously, the Managing Director for Business Transformation was the sponsor of this project. Today I propose to assign this project to me”.
Dauren Kereibayev, Managing Director for Digitization and Transformation at “Samruk-Kazyna” SWF” JSC, supported this initiative together with all the MC members. “The responsibility for all Transformation projects rests with sponsors, on whom the success and development course of a project depends. And I place high expectations on new managers”, said the Fund’s representative.
As part of the MC meeting agenda, Antonina Shenoeva reported on the progress of Transformation Program for the first quarter of 2019 and the work performed on 5 initiatives of Transformation Program in the first three months of 2019.
“The roadmap is 40% complete. The implementation of the Program’s projects brought benefits of 3 461 mln. tenge. The work on creating the new Project Portfolio as part of the updated Transformation Program is now underway”.
The portfolio with new initiatives and projects of the energy holding company is scheduled to be approved by July of this year.
