“Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov” LLP completed 2018 having generated 19, 1 bln. kWh of electricity, which is 29% more than in 2017. In general, the share of electricity generated by ESDPP-1 was 18, 9% in Kazakhstani market.
At this the power plant showed its readiness for the autumn and winter period with a record load of 3031 MW, which was reached on December 20, 2018 with operation of six power units, the design total capacity of which is 3000 MW. In general, the installed capacity of the power plant is 4 000 MW when all eight units operate.
Ekibastuz SDPP-1 took a whole range of actions during the year in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply to its customers. In particular, an extended repair of power unit No. 4, routine repair of power units No. 3, 5, 7, 8, major repairs of power units No. 2 and 6 have been carried out at the plan since the beginning of the year.
Moreover, the works on restoration of the last eighth power unit No. 1 are underway. Like other power units of the plant, this power unit will be equipped with a highly efficient advanced electrostatic precipitator with a degree of ash collection of 99.6%.
The project on reconstruction and retrofit of the production complex of the fuel and transport workshop is scheduled to be completed in 2021. The project aims to improve performance, as well as the quality and reliability of workshop equipment. This equipment bears a serious load during the preparation, transportation and distribution of the required amount of fuel for the boiler units. Thus, the plant consumed 11 636 mln. tons of coal supplied by “Bogatyr Komir” over 2018.
“Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov” LLP is a condensing-type thermal power plant that produces and distributes electricity with an installed capacity of 4 000 MW and available capacity of 3 500 MW. “Samruk-Energy” JSC is the sole shareholder of ESDPP-1. The plant distributes most of its electricity in the energy market of Kazakhstan.
