According to the results of energy conservation and energy efficiency activities conducted, “Samruk-Energy” JSC managed to save about 307 mln. tenge in the period from January to September, Vladimir Astashov, head of the department at “Samruk-Energy” JSC informed in his speech during First International Energy Conservation Forum held in Astana city. He also spoke about implementation of power holding company’s activities aimed at energy conservation and energy efficiency.
“Samruk-Energy” JSC representatives organized a solemn ceremony of awarding certificates and prizes for best innovation proposals among “Samruk-Energy” JSC companies during this event. For example, employees of “Energoremont” PRE, HPP Cascade and “Almaty Power Plants” JSC Head Office developed impeller drawings with removable buckets for hydro turbine of HPP-2 of Almaty Power Plants’ HPP Cascade, and manufactured moving blades at “PROGRESS GROUP-ARUNA" Almaty city.
As a result, the economic effect made 47 million tenge. It should be noted that in just 9 months of 2018, 62 innovation proposals of production facilities were approved, Ekibastuz SDPP - 2 (effect of 67 million tenge), Almaty Power Plants - 23 (48.2 million tenge), Bogatyr Komir - 30 (effect of 505.6 million tenge) were the leaders .
According to Zhumatayev Nurlybek Shakayevich, senior power engineer at “Bogatyr-Komir” LLP, “Bogatyr” open-pit coalmine has a large geography and, accordingly, requires addressing many issues associated with energy conservation and energy efficiency. As part of implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for management of the region’s power sector, the company annually develops a Plan of specific activities dedicated to energy conservation; the implementation of this plan resulted in saving about 500 million tenge in 2017. In this case, this refers to saving of heat, electricity and water supply together. This year, the works on concluding contracts for energy services for replacement of about 1600 light points with LED lamps are underway; this will allow significantly saving electricity”.
We would like to remind that the First International Energy Conservation Forum hosted by the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, was held on November 9, 2018 in Astana city. The forum was timed to the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Energy Conservation Day in Kazakhstan. Representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan and other government agencies, international organizations, businesses, public organizations, as well as foreign experts attended the forum. Current energy conservation issues were discussed during the forum.
