Coal production for 9 months of this year at “Bogatyr Komir” LLP coal mines in Ekibastuz made 32 556 thous. tons with planned 29 778 thous. tons. Along with that, as of today, the company has shipped 32 869 thous. tons of coal, which is 110 percent of the planned volumes.
According to specialists of “Samruk-Energy” power holding company, circa 80 percent of the coal shipped was sent to the country’s power generating enterprises for electricity and heat production.
Moreover, “Bogatyr Komir” ships solid fuel for public living needs. This is about small boiler houses in rural areas for which Ekibastuz coal is a key fuel. With respect to them, the plan for shipment of utility coal (UC) of 1 000 000 tons was accomplished by September 25 of this year. By now, the volume of deliveries amounted to 1 037 thous. tons. It should be recalled that UC in the amount of 1 398 551 tons was shipped to consumers during the entire past year.
As of today, the coal mining company fulfilled all requests of consumers in the course of preparation for 2018-2019 heating season.
“Bogatyr Komir” LLP accounts for 60 percent of the total coal produced in Ekibastuz coal basin and 40 percent of the total coal production in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstani companies “Ekibastuz SDPP-1” LLP, “Ekibastuz SDPP-2 Plant” JSC, Almaty and Stepnogorsk CHPs, “Karaganda Energocenter” LLP (CHP-1, CHP-3), “SevKazEnergo” JSC, “Astana-Energia” JSC (CHP-1, CHP-2), “Kokshetauzhylu” state-owned public enterprise, “Pavlodarenergo” JSC, “Bassel Group LLS” LLP (Temirtau) and also Russian Reftinskaya, Troitskaya SDPP are among the main consumers.
“Samruk-Energy” JSC and the Russian UC “RusAl” manage “Bogatyr Komir” LLP on a parity basis. The company conducts open-pit coal mining at two open-pit mines - Bogatyr and Severny in Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. Geological reserves of ”Bogatyr Komir” LLP are 2,75 billion tons. The production capacity of the enterprise is 42 million tons of coal per year, including 32 million tons at the Bogatyr mine, and 10 million tons at the Severny mine.
