Nurlan Rakhmetov, Managing Director for Transformation, Privatization and Restructuring of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC, when opening the meeting, noted that IPS is one of the three priority projects for the Fund as part of the first initiative of the Transformation Program.
"We get used to certain standards, we implement “box” projects. In addition, our goal is to become leaders, so we need to apply breakthrough approaches - this is what others do not do. IPS is a unique project, motivated to achieve results here, our idea of people's transformation is rigidly linked with introduction of cutting-edge technologies. Of course, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of each portfolio company and the customer's opinion, but, despite the difficulties, it is necessary to achieve results from ISP introduction".
“Samruk-Kazyna” JSC, “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” NC JSC, “Kazatomprom” NAC JSC, “Kazpost” JSC and “KazMunayGas” NC JSC representatives attended the meeting held at “Samruk-Energy” holding company premises.
Portfolio companies shared their achievements in the development of an automated system. The uniqueness of IPS project implementation at “Samruk-Energy” JSC is creation of scenarios for development and setting of goals in electricity generation and coal mining for the medium-term planning period.
"The task of our company, as an operational holding company, is to plan the achievements of those KPI, that use reliable data with the aim to achieve transparency and create the most preferable scenario for companies’ development," Serik Tutebayev, the project sponsor highlighted.
The project's scope includes 5 subsidiaries and affiliates: “Shardarinsk HPP” JSC, “Ekibastuz SDPP-2” JSC, “Bogatyr Komir” LLP. "Ekibastuz SDPP-1" JSC and "Moynak HPP" JSC are the participants of the project’s first phase in this year. Ruslan Kusainov, the project manager, told that the system is already delivering results, power units were brought to the optimal operation modes, the adaptation of generation modes to demand cycles, creation of an effective repair program, etc. We managed to obtain benefits of 125 mln. KZT from introduction of IPS prototype.
Active discussion of IPS implementation by project teams will enable to strengthen cooperation and consider the experience and results obtained in further work.
