Traditionally, "Samruk-Energy" JSC honors veterans on the eve of the celebration of the Great Victory Day. A charity event was hosted at the initiative of the Company’s "Nur-Otan" party group together with PA "Local Trade Union of Samruk-Energy". Employees of the company responded and supported the campaign by collecting on a voluntary basis about 300 thousand tenge. Cash, flowers and grocery baskets were awarded to five veterans of war.
83-year-old Razia Zhomartova, Zhamal Kalinova and Damesh Utkelbaeva are among them. The war began when they were very young girls. Zhamal-apay and Razia-apay started working at the age of 10 at subsidiary farming. Damesh-apay from early childhood helped at the hospital. She became a doctor when she grew up and she has never had any doubts about the choice she made in respect of her occupation.
89- year-old Rakhia Ryspekova said that it was necessary to be useful at home front during war years. From the age of 13, Rahia-apay worked in the field.
This year a 92-year –old Biken Espembetova, who, like many of her peers during the war, spared no effort to work for the good of victory in the home front. Women and children, overcoming huge difficulties, replaced their husbands, fathers and brothers at the machine tools. The company’s employees warmly congratulated the veterans and wished them strong health.
