A solemn meeting dedicated to the 10th anniversary of establishment of “Samruk-Energy” JSC was held in Astana on June 29. . Invited guests - deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of “Atameken” NCC, industrial associations, financial institutions, “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC, foreign partners and colleagues from Russia and Uzbekistan gave a congratulatory speech to the staff.
Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeyev, Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC, Timur Kulibayev, Chairman of Kazenergy Association, Evgeny Mishuk, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CIS EPC, Leonid Shenets, Head of the Energy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Abelgazi Kusainov, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan sent their congratulations to “Samruk-Energy” JSC.
Almassadam Satkaliyev, Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Energy" JSC highlighted key operating results of the company over the past decade. The projects for the modernization and construction of new facilities of power infrastructure implemented with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan have increased the reliability of power supply to consumers and provided new opportunities for economic growth. Today “Samruk-Energy” JSC group of companies produces every fourth kWh in the country with a total capacity of sources of 6.8 gigawatt or 31% of the capacity of the Unified Energy System of Kazakhstan.
"Samruk-Energy" implements a set of measures to reduce the impact on the environment and rational use of resources, including through increasing the share of alternative energy sources. 300 MW Moynak HPP, 45 MW Ereymentau wind farm, 2 MW Kapchagay SPP were commissioned with the participation of the company. The capacity of "green" sources is planned to increase in coming years through construction and implementation of new projects. According to the long-term Development Strategy, the share of renewable energy sources in the structure of the company's capacities is expected to increase up to 10% (more than 850 MW by 2025).
Financial and economic performance of the company is improving. “Samruk-Energy” JSC assets have increased 8 times over 10 years, having exceeded 1 trillion tenge in value, profit and EBITDA margin increased almost 6 times, profitability almost 3 times.
The distinguished employees of “Samruk-Energy” JSC group of companies were awarded honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Atameken” NCC, ALE “Kazenergy”, “KEA” and “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC during the meeting.
