A new turbine unit was commissioned at Aktobe CHP on the eve of the national holiday - Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project implementation increased the installed capacity of the plant from 88 to 118 MW and ensures an additional power generation in the volume 240 mln.kWh per year.

"Aktobe CHP" JSC capital investments in modernization and upgrade of the equipment from 2010 to 2016 exceeded 5 billion tenge. In addition to construction of a new turbine unit No. 3, the plant using its own investments installed water treatment system, commissioned a new cooling tower and circulating pump house and replaced the equipment of two sections in order to transfer auxiliaries with voltage of 3,15 kV to 6,3 kV.
"Aktobe CHP" JSC is the only source of centralized heat suuply of Aktobe city. The plant has been generating industrial current since January 1943.
The owner of 100% equity stake in "Aktobe CHP" JSC is “Samruk-Energy" JSC.
