"Mangistau Distribution Power Grid Company" JSC held the opening of the Regional dispatch center (RDC). RDC presentation was attended by Аlik Aidarbayev, the governor of Mangistau region, and “Samruk-Energy” JSC management.
- RDC operation opens a new quality stage of Mangistau DPGC development. Advanced power grid control complex will ensure a guaranteed and reliable operation of Mangistau region’s power system "- noted Serik Tutebayev, Managing Director of " Samruk-Energy " JSC.
KZT 1.5 bln. project has been implemented within the framework of "Mangistau DPGC" JSC Investment Program for 2013-2016. The dispatch center is equipped with the latest hardware and software, which enable the staff to respond quickly to variations in the power system’s operation. State-of-the-art technologies will significantly improve the quality of customer service and the regional power system’s performance reliability.
" The input of RDC opens up opportunities for staged introduction of " Smart Grid” on the basis of current elements of SCADA and ASCAE* systems in the region” said Yerlan Kirkinbayev, the Chairman of the Board of "Mangistau DPGC" JSC.
Guests learned about the company's performance and were demonstrated the technical capacity of the video wall installed in the new dispatch center. 50 sq.m screen displays information from numerous facilities of “MDPGC” JSC power grids in real time mode. A mimic diagram that existed previously did not allow operating the power grid effectively.
More than 300 local specialists underwent training and upgraded skills during the investment project implementation.
"Mangistau DPGC" JSC investment program for 2016 – 2020 includes the execution of 6 projects on modernization of equipment and construction of 220 kV overhead lines totaling 27,7 billion tenge.
The assets of "Mangistau DPGC" JSC are 57 substations of 35-220 kV with a total capacity of 1965 MVA, 0,4-220kV overhead lines 5033km long, transports more than 2,5 billion kWh of electricity per year through its owns grids. “MDPGC” JSC main customers are oil sector entities, which represents 82% of the total volume, the share of public utility sector is 11% and 7% other consumers.
Current tariffs of “MDPGC” JSC for the service of transmission and distribution of electricity fall into three categories: corporations (3,77 tenge / kWh), population (1,90 tenge / kWh) and Municipal utility services (2, 39 tg / kWh).
