Council for modernization approved “Samruk-Energy” JSC transformation roadmap

Extended meeting of the Council for modernization of "Samruk-Energy" JSC at which the progress of the transformation program and plans for 2016 were reviewed was held on February 16, 2016.

Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC Umirzak Shukeyev emphasized the need for change and the importance of the human factor in the success of the transformation program. Head of the Fund has designated the current guidelines and focused on achieving quick wins.

"Samruk-Energy" JSC have received reference model developed by central transformation team for implementation in the Fund's portfolio companies.

Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Energy" JSC Almassadam Satkaliyev reported on the status of transformation program implementation in the company. For the first time the main strategic goal is the creation of shareholder value and reducing costs.  One of the main challenge is the transition to the operational model of the holding company including building of a performance management system.

Dauren Baimagambetov Chief Business Transformation Officer presented new draft Transformation Roadmap of "Samruk-Energy" JSC for 2016. Terms to achieve key results, implementation of special projects where the company acts as a pilot area are mentioned in the document.  Currently optimization of the warehouse (goods and materials and warehouse logistics) and "Integrated Planning System" are in the active stage of project implementation.

The Council for modernization also approved “Samruk-Energy” JSC Road map. The Head of the Fund Umirzak Shukeyev presented the "Plan of personal participation in the implementation of transformation roadmap "  to Satkaliyev A.M. “Samruk-Energy” JSC Chairman of the Board.

Participants of the essay competition "How I see the company in 10 years" held among head office staff with participation of  NGO  "Local trade union of "Samruk-Energy” JSC  were awarded in conclusion of the visiting session. The competition increased the involvement of employees in the process of business transformation, inspired them to think about the future of native company and its place in it.
