The workshop on preparation of "change agents" was held on May 27, 2016 as a part of transformation program. The event was organized in Astana by trade union of "Samruk-Energy" JSC and changes management unit of transformation team (CMG) with the support of EY consulting company 38 candidates out of fifteen energy companies of Kazakhstan were selected for participation; the candidates have preliminarily passed selection process by criteria that determine professional and personal qualities of “change agents”.
During the seminar the participants could learn international change management methodology and tools, techniques for effective communication and involvement of transformation program participants, as well as consolidate the acquired knowledge in the form of practical exercises and team games.
It should be noted that change agents are required not only to understand the change management methodology and apply it in practice, but also to have information about content of transformation program. This is necessary for accurate and quick sharing information on the essence of performed changes with colleagues in place.
Therefore, additionally, topics of "Samruk-Energy" JSC business’s information strategy under development and formed target business processes were discussed at the seminar. Also acquaintance of "agents of change" with Marat Imanbekov, Head of transformation team was organized; He spoke about transformation directions and key results of the program
Upon completion of training, all candidates coped with written test assignments and received personal certificates of Change agents signed by Managing Director for Business Transformation.
Change agents will play a key role in promoting changes in the framework of transformation program in all subsidiaries and affiliates, and be responsible for raising the level of involvement of SA employees, acting as agents between the management of the holding company, the project team and staff in place.
