Fundraising was arranged in “Samruk-Energy” JSC and the decision on honoring veterans of war who live in Astana city was taken at the initiative of "Nur-Otan" party group Secretary Nariman Akylov . Employees responded to this campaign and collected a total of about 300 thousand tenge. Together with the city Veterans council, three participants of the Second World War were identified to participate in the event.
Among them - Akhmetova Nurshida Sharipovna. During the war she served in the medical unit under the intelligence department of the NKVD (SMERSH) of the 4th Ukrainian Front. On the Victory Day she was at the "Moravian Islands" in Czechoslovakia. She was awarded the Order of " Great Patriotic War of II degree", the medal "Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov" and lots of Kazakhstani and Ukrainian jubilee awards.
- Kuldeyev Borash Kuldeyevich during the war served as a radio operator in the divisional intelligence troop of the Leningrad Front. He went to the war in March 1943 and returned after being seriously wounded in July 1944. He is Companion of the Great Patriotic War Order of 1 and 2 degrees and awarded medal "For Bravery".
- Sadykov Turusbek, sea soldier. He made it through almost the entire front of the "Japanese war" from April 1942 until the time of Japan's surrender in 1945. He left the military service only by the end of 1949 after the end of fight against the insurgency. He spent all 8 years of war in the Far East in Khabarovsk Krai and Japan. He has many awards, medals, awards and commendation letters.
On the eve of holiday May 9, after visiting veterans, employees of "Samruk-Energy" JSC presented the funds collected and congratulated the veterans. Also, PA "Trade Union of Power engineers" rendered its support in providing a food basket. Talking to the participants of the war, the company representatives noted that the most important thing is that we have to remember the deeds, heroic achievements, difficult human destinies, victory over Nazism at the cost of many lives.
In addition, as part of activities in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, "Samruk-Energy" JSC announced a contest among its employees and subsidiaries for the best essay dedicated to those people who made every effort in pursuit of victory day. All collected materials shall be published on the official website in the section "Dedicated to Great Victory...". These are memories, notes and stories of young power engineers about the older generation, about fates of military operations participants. Thus, each employee has the opportunity to become a part of this celebration, share their stories and the lives of their grandfathers who fought selflessly for our present peacetime.
